Mr. Chaganti V.K. Maithreya is a fifth generation Theosophist, whose family has been actively involved in theosophical work from the time of the Founders. He is 55 years old and has been a member of The Theosophical Society for about 45 years. He is a writer and has lectured on Theosophy in different parts of the world (India, the USA, East & Central Africa, Europe, Israel, Singapore, New Zealand & Australia). His articles have been published in theosophical magazines. He has also written for [all editions] of The Economic Times, a leading business newspaper.

At present he is the Vice-President (Former President) of the Madras Theosophical Federation and President of the Theosophical Order of Service, Chennai Region. He is a member of the Indian Section Council of The Theosophical Society, the National Board of the Theosophical Order of Service, India & the National Council of the International Order of the Round Table, India. He was the head of the International Order of the Round Table, India and was on its International Senior Council. He has been directing the relief, rehabilitation, medical & other projects of the TOS, Chennai Region.

He is a graduate in English language and literature and has a post-graduate qualification in Personnel Management, Organisation Development, Industrial Relations, Labour Welfare & Labour Law, besides being a qualified trainer. He speaks English (international language), Hindi (national language), Tamil (local language) & Telugu (mother tongue).

Professionally he is a Business Adviser in the area of Human Resource Management and owns a consultancy company that has international clients. He now works in an advisory role as the next generation in his family is taking over. He has held many administrative and management positions during his career and has been an adviser in the area of Human Resource Management to the Industrialisation Fund for Developing Countries, Denmark. He has been a visiting faculty member for post-graduate students in Human Resource Management and has lectured to government officials, NGOs and spiritual gatherings.
